In the last 24 hours, an additional 615 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue fever, and one more person has died.
This information was provided in a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday, September 9.
The press release detailed the distribution of new hospital admissions: 94 in Chattogram Division, 104 in Dhaka Division (outside of the city corporation areas), 175 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 137 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 60 in Khulna Division, and 6 in Mymensingh Division. Additionally, 24 new patients were admitted in Barishal Division, 13 in Rajshahi Division, and 2 in Rangpur Division.
Across the country, 554 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of discharges this year to 14,546. Since January of this year, a total of 16,285 patients have been hospitalized with dengue. Unfortunately, 97 people have died from the disease during this period.
